Robert Alan Soloway was arrested Wednesday charged with mail fraud, wire fraud, e-mail fraud, aggravated identity theft and money laundering. According to Microsoft, he is one of the worlds most prolific spammers. Federal authorities actually said that we could notice a decrease in spam according to Yahoo News, but I find that hard to believe. Still, I’m glad they got him.

He has been living in a ritzy apartment and drives an expensive Mercedes convertible, said prosecutor Kathryn Warma. Prosecutors are seeking to have him forfeit $773,000 they say he made from his business, Newport Internet Marketing Corp.

I would have thought he would have made more than that since he is one of the largest spammers in the world.
